Special Committee on Electoral Reform

The Special Committee on Electoral Reform was established by Order of the Legislative Assembly on May 26, 2021 (Motion No. 61). The committee's reporting deadline was amended by the Legislative Assembly on October 25, 2021 (Motion No. 167) and November 15, 2022 (Motion No. 530).

Kate White was elected Chair of the Special Committee on Electoral Reform and Brad Cathers was elected Vice-Chair of the committee on July 2, 2021.

The Yukon Bureau of Statistics conducted a survey on citizens’ assemblies on behalf of the Special Committee on Electoral Reform, from January 12 to March 5, 2023. All Yukoners aged 16 years or older were sent an invitation by email or mail from the Yukon Bureau of Statistics with an individualized unique PIN to participate in the survey.
